Kenneth Jacobs: Approaching Northern Darkness (2004), mvt 1. A virtuosic 47- minute concerto that was written for me and which I have premiered in North America, South Africa and in Australia. I recorded this work with the Kiev Philharmonic on the ERM label, Robert Winstin conducting in Kiev, Ukraine.
